Wireless card not responding. How do i know what type it was?

My wireless card stopped working. I went into the device manager and disabled it and then restarted the computer. It never reloaded back in the device manager. It is completely gone. I have try to check for hardware changes but it does not show up. I think it's dead. How do i find out what type of replacement card i can put in without knowing what i already have in it? I checked my original receipts and it only say "wireless LAN card." Please help!

If indeed the issue is with the wireless card, I need to know the serial number of your PC to provide you with the wireless card replacement options. If unsure check http://hp.care/2v0lK3v to find the PC serial number.

I opened the computer up and there is no replaceable wireless cards in it. The card must be built directly into the motherboard. I also did a clean install of windows 7 again and the card still doesn't show up in my device mangager.
