Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Pavilion Gaming  with 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700 @ 2.50GHz sporadically loses wi-fi signal and I'll have to disconnect and reconnect. It may stay on for a day or just an hour. Completely random.  I'm running a second computer beside it with no issues.

@KRGallagher -- your computer uses DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) to get a "lease" from the cable-modem (or telco) device.  That lease gives your computer an IP-address, and the TTL (Time To Live) value. The TTL is like renting a hotel-room -- you can use the room, but only for the negotiated number of nights.

So, if your computer has the wrong date/time/timezone, it may try to use the lease AFTER the lease has expired, but that will fail, as you have noticed.

Open a Windows command-line prompt, and enter:   IPCONFIG /ALL

to see something like:

Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : February-23-22 08:13:36 AM
Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : March-03-22 12:14:53 AM

If the date/time/timezone are incorrect, then your computer does not ask to "renew" the lease while the lease is valid.
