I have a*** problem. The keyboard is less than 30cm from the USB transceiver. It fails 5 or 5 times per day, usually when I am typing quickly. The reset button on the keyboard does not solve the issue, you actually have to remove the batteries and re-insert them. Some other people in our office purchased the same keyboard at the same time and also suffer from this problem, although at different frequencies. I don't think its reasonable to expect users to disconnect other USB devices such as printers just in order to use this keyboard.

Hey there! @JamesE1,
Have you tried checking with a different keyboard? Does the issue persist?
Have you tried checking with a new set of batteries?
Try few troubleshooting steps before you replace the keyboard and check if it helps.
Connect the USB receiver to a different USB port on the PC and check if the issue persists.
Also, Try few steps recommended below.
Restart the computer.
In Device Manager, uninstall and reinstall the keyboard software:
In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
Click View and select Show Hidden Devices.
Click the arrow next to Keyboards, right-click the keyboard device name, then select Uninstall to remove the device from Windows.
Continue removing device names in the Keyboards category until all device names have been uninstalled.
Restart the notebook. Right-click Start (), select Shut down or sign out, then select Restart.
Wait for the computer to restart and open Windows.
