Wireless printer

HP Recommended
Officejet 5741

We had a power outage. Once it came back on and I reset the Wi Fi, our wireless printer was gone. It's Officejet 5741. I do I get it reinstalled?

Hi @SG511,

I understand that you have an HP OfficeJet 5741 All-in-One Printer and it no longer communicates wirelessly. Don't worry as I have a few steps which should help you resolve this issue.

To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Is the wireless light steady or blinking on the printer?
  • Does the printer print from any other devices that are connected to the network?
  • What is the Operating System installed on the PC?

If the printer appears to have a steady light and appears to be connected to the wireless network then I suggest you assign a static IP address to the printer by following the below steps:

  • Locate the printer's IP address. If you do not know the IP address then print a network configuration page from the printer.

For more assistance, please follow the steps suggested in the support document for - HP ENVY 7640, Officejet 5740, 8040 Printers - Wireless or Wired Network Setup

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.
