Helloo all I have a HP 500-415nv and would like to add a new SSD disk.
I would like to ask you the following questions:
- could I have both disks in my PC the old one and the new SSD?
- The SSD is the Samsung V-NAND SSD 850 EVO which PC case would be more suitable for this disk?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Have a nice day
Marina

Hi,
The mountink kit will not fit.
The SSD will have mounting screws underneath too. All SSDs have them. They might be covered with some plastic, however they will be present. So you can install the SSD the same way as in the link of the picture you sent. On this picture you can see the 4 holes underneath of the samsung 850 evo.

Hi Marina,
Yes you can keep both disks in your system. I would reinstall the OS and applications on the SSD (using recovery disks or performing clean install by downloading windows 10 from Microsoft) as this will greatly improve the speed of your system. The samsung disk is considered the best performance / prize disk on the market, so a good choice.
The second part of the question I do not understand very well, "what PC case would be more suitable for this disk".
Let me know,
David

Hello and thanks for the reply.
Where can I put the second disk as it seems that it does not fit in the PC bo?.
Also the one that I called case it is called "Mounting Kit" and it the part that you put the SSD disk in order to fit in the PC.
I hope I was clear so sorry as I am not good on the techical part .
Thanks
Marina

I see what you mean by looking at pictures. Anyway the SSD will be quite small and I see that behind the hard drive there is quite a lot of room. So you could place it there withou any problem and not attach with any screws,
You could also get a 2.5" to 3.5" bracket for the SSD and adding some lateral small metal bars attach the SSD with frame to the hard drive (screws on side of hard drive).
You might also need a sata (power) splitter if your PSU does not have an extra sata power plug.
Example:
You will also need a sata cable from ssd to motherboard
Example:

Personally I would let the SSD rest without screws behind the Hard drive in your PC. The ssd is small and light and can be placed at any angle. You could use some velcro tape to attach to bottom of case.
Hope it helps,
David

If I use something like that https://www.bhphotovideo.com/images/images2500x2500/crucial_ctssdbrkt35_2_5_to_3_5_adapter_1005722.j... , will it do the job or do I need something more specific?
