I’m sorry you’re dealing with this—it’s frustrating when the printer works but the scanner refuses to connect! Here are some steps to troubleshoot:
Restart Devices
- Turn off the printer, computer, and router.
- Wait 60 seconds, then turn them back on.
Check Network Connection
- Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Print a Network Configuration Page by pressing the Wireless + Info buttons together.
Run Windows Troubleshooter
- Open Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot.
- Select Additional Troubleshooters → Scanner → Run the troubleshooter.
Update the Firmware on Your HP Printer
- HP regularly releases new firmware versions for printer enhancements, app updates, or issue fixes.
- Update the firmware regularly to get the most out of your printer.
