direct connect issue

while i was setting up the hp soft ware ,it came to a part where is asked me to install driver to print.it showed 3 steps and gave a note which read : do not select printer whit 'DIRECT' in the name , how ever when i try to find the device in the settings it only shows the device name whit direct in it , can any one please tell me what to do it would be much appreciated

Is the printer powered-on when you started following the first of those 3 steps?

Did you follow those 3 steps? Did the software report "successfully connected" ?

Select that device, and then click "uninstall, and then repeat the 3 steps.
