New Router from Verizon for FIOS Internet Service.  How can I tell if 5 GHz wifi available on Dsktop.. Note: Name of 5GHz router DOES NOT APPEAR on list of available connections. (2.46 Name is OK)

It does not come with dual band (2.4/5.0 GHz) wireless networking.

Anytime you see a wireless N network specification of b/g/n, that means it is a single band (2.4 GHz) wifi card.

Dual band wifi cards are a/b/g/n, or a/g/n.

Yes, you have wireless capability.  However, it is only 2.4 GHz.  Here is the Product Specifications page.  If you look at the section titled "Networking" you will see the information on the wireless card.  Here is a wireless card that is dual band.  I have used this card and it works great.
