If your user name is user name hotmail or msn email ID, then you can try to reset the password using the below link

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/account-reset-password-forgot-faq

If the user name does not consists your email then its a local account where you wont be able to reset the password expect reinstalling the operating system using System recovery which will wipe all the data to day 1.

You can get more information from the below link

I have a question about your instructions.  When I select F11 and get the Startup Menu I get the following options.

F1 - System Information

F2 - System Diagnostics

F9 - Boot Options

F11 - HP Recovery

F12 - Network Boot

Enter - Contunie Startup

I don't have an option for Windows Recovery.  When I select F11 HP Recovery the screen goes blue and there seems to be no other activity.  Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.  How do I get to Windows Recovery/Keyboard Format/Choose Troublesooting/Reset all drives?
