hp wireless keyboard

HP Recommended

I have an older HP wireless keyboard with multi-function keys for such things as photo, music, shopping, finance, search and chat among others that are set above the function keys. It also has keys for ejecting disk and play/pause keys. The P/N number 5187-4424 and S/N [edit] This model does not show up on HP Support.

The function and typing keys work fine but these multi-function do not. Previously, they have worked well. Any manuals I might have had are now lost . Can you direct me to a solution?

@SBC2927

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand, special keys do not work on your wireless keyboard,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Have you made any hardware/software changes?

Have you tried connecting the keyboard to a different PC?

If not, I suggest you try the keyboard on another PC.

Also, you could refer to this link for more troubleshooting steps "Wireless mouse or keyboard does not work": https://hp.care/2Eey0CG

Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool to troubleshoot keyboard and mouse issues
Restore the computer to a previous state

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have changed my PC and will try the keyboard on another PC. This keyboard originally worked on my HP machine which crashed a year or so ago.
