I know nothing about your current hardware (models/products) but looks like your desktop ONLY supports 2.4GHz networks and your router broadcasts only 5GHz. Please allow your router to broadcast DUAL bands which are 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. Your desktop now can se 2.4GHz SSID and allow you to connect.

In Windows, right-click the network connection icon , and then select Troubleshoot problems. Wait while the Windows Network Diagnostic analyzes the network connection. If prompted, select the type of network problem, and then follow the instructions to resolve the issue.
