Hi @windows31,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing issues with the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers on your HP Pavilion 14-inch Laptop PC where the drivers occasionally don't show up. This can happen due to several reasons such as outdated drivers, corrupted driver files, or problems with the hardware itself.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Update the Network and Bluetooth Drivers

  • Automatic Update:
    • Open Device Manager (press Win + X and select it).
    • Expand Network adapters and Bluetooth sections.
    • Right-click on your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers and select Update driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for drivers and let Windows search for updates.
  • Manual Update:
    • Visit the HP Support website and enter your laptop’s model.
    • Download the latest network (Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth drivers for your model.
    • Install the drivers and restart your laptop.

Check for Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  • Click on Check for updates and install any available updates.

Reinstall the Network and Bluetooth Drivers

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand the Network adapters and Bluetooth sections.
  • Right-click on your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers upon reboot.

Run Network Troubleshooter

  • Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  • Find and run the Network Adapter troubleshooter to fix any issues with the network drivers.

Check for Power Management Settings

  • Open Device Manager and go to the Network adapters and Bluetooth sections.
  • Right-click your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices and go to Properties.
  • In the Power Management tab, uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
  • Apply and restart your laptop.

BIOS Update

  • Sometimes, outdated BIOS can cause hardware detection issues. Visit the HP support website to check if there is a BIOS update available for your laptop.

Reset Network Settings

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings.
  • Select Network reset, which will reinstall all network adapters and restore network settings to default.

Check for Hardware Issues

  • If the issue persists even after updating drivers and troubleshooting, there may be a hardware problem with the network card.

These steps should help in resolving the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth driver issues you're facing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
