Product: HP ENVY Desktop - 750-175se
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased this desktop 4 years ago, switched to ssd and windows 10, and it was a beast at that time. But, from the very beginning, I've never had as fast internet via wifi as I do with other devices, and it's sitting right next to my router/modem. I'm thinking maybe I should upgrade my wifi adapter, but have no idea what to look for. Suggestions from the folks that know this would be very appreciated!

Realtek RTL8723be 802.11 bgn wifi adapter is what my system currently has

Hi:

 

How many wifi antenna wires are connected to the Realtek wifi card your PC has now?  One or two?

 

The number of antenna wires will determine what internal card you can upgrade to.

 

They are very thin and delicate.   The wifi card is pretty small, and lying flat on the motherboard. 

 

It's approximately 3/4" long and 1/2" wide.

 

Here is the service manual which will show you how to open up the PC.
