Wi fi driver is not visible even when the wi fi device is connected.

Hi:

 

See if this W8 driver works. 

 

Broadcom Wireless LAN drivers are required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN adapter.

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp69501-70000/sp69737.exe

 

If not, you will have to connect by ethernet or USB wifi adapter, do the required updates to W8, so you can get the free upgrade to W8.1 from the Windows Store, and then you can use the W8.1 broadcom wifi driver from your notebook's support page.
