wifi networks not being detected

So heres what's been going on. my computer can't detect any form of wifi. not my network, not anybody else's network, it won't let me connect outside of Ethernet which, I could do but it'd be a lot of work and I'd rather connect wireless. I've updated the drivers, turned on network discovery, and when I go to network connections in the control panel there isn't even a wifi option, just Ethernet. if anyone could give me a solution it would be greatly appreciated 🙂

What model wifi adapter does your PC come with?

Back in the day those PC's were made very few of them (like less than 10%) came with built in wifi.
