Hi:

That one will work but it is only single band Wireless N.

Wouldn't you want one that is dual band AC?

The one I bought for my Elitedesk 800 G3 35W DM when I found it did not come with built in Wi-Fi and had no antenna wires was this one:   It even came with Bluetooth.

what would be the difference and how much of a difference would it make

HP Recommended

The difference is in Wi-Fi speed.

The one you posted has a max throughput of 150 MBPS on the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band.

The one I posted has a max throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band.

If you only have a single band (2.4 GHz) wireless N router, then the one you selected will be fine.
