I keep getting notifications that  there are new apps to install on my windows 8 HP Pavillion. when i try to install, each application fails with this error

according to an internet search there are options to repair this (something to do with the registry). i tried one and it didn't fix the problem. i cannot update any of my applications from "The Store"

please advise

Reset Windows Store cache.

Follow these steps to do so.

a.     On the desktop, press Windows key + R to open the Run Dialog.

b.     Type wsreset.exe and press Enter.

Please get back to us with the results.

If you're still experiencing problems with an app store, you can try running the Apps troubleshooter. This tool can automatically identify and fix some problems with apps.
