Product: Dc compaq dc7700
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)
I have just tried installing a firemv2250 graphic card and I am getting 5 beeps. I thought it was the memory but when I take it out, it beeps again. Can someone help to get it installed please? Thankyou in advance

@robbieod,

I would remove the 2250 card, and test the system per this discussion.

As you know, 5 beeps is a RAM problem.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

Hi, thanks for your reply @wb2001. I have removed the card and it works fine, but once I put it back in, it does 5 beeps which I don't understand? Then when I plug it in with the on board graphics turned off, I get a solid black screen also (really sorry, I am clueless to installing graphic cards)
