Are you sure you don't mean five-in-one instead of "6 in 1 card readers"?

Please identify your HP desktop PC. See my signature if you don't know how to identify it properly.

Best regards,
erico

Re: 6 in 1 card reader

the card sthat are listed are as follows

  • Secure Digital (SD)
  • MultiMediaCard (MMC)
  • Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC)
  • MultiMediaCard Plus (MMC Plus)
  • xD media (xD)
  • Memory Stick (MS) and Memory Stick Pro (MS-Pro)

as you see no Compact Flash But I was told that it will accept compact flash?? Im confused Asd most HP pcs now seem to use the 6 in 1 instead of the 15 in 1 they wwere useing

I have not been able to locate any decent FAQs related to this in the consumer resources.

My loaner dv7-4180ea has a single slot and all of the smaller format flash memory cards require an adapter. A CF card might not need one, but unfortunately I no longer have any CF cards to test in it. Old 144 pin memory modules I have, but no CompactFlash cards. Smiley Wink

Re: 6 in 1 card reader

Many thanks for your efforts!

The CF card is quite a bit larger than the others at about 43mm wide & 3mm thick compared to the SD at 24mm & about 2mm thick! so I don't think it will fit! unless anyone else can shed some light on this please??

Thanks

Pedro

Re: 6 in 1 card reader

No. 6-in-1 MCR does not support CF.
