Yes try running sfc /scannow. It will search for any integrity violations in your registry.

 

run the command sfc /scannow in a command prompt. Make sure you run the cmd.exe as administrator.

Hi Phil,

The scan completed and nothing found it displayed 100%.

Anything else I should try?

To be honest at this point I would think the best plan would be to see if the issue is re-occurring once rolled back to win 7. I understand that this is not necessarily a small task, but I think the best thing to do is to make sure it's not hardware and that it works with windows 7. Something may have installed incorrectly when upgrading to 10.
