I had a power surge and after that the 800 G2 wouldn't turn on anymore. When I press the 'on' button a brief green light flashes and nothing happens (no sound, no beep, no fan). So besides a surge protector I already purchased a replacement PSU. This arrived yesterday but the same thing happens with the new PSU. So its not the PSU in my mind. Before I dump in more money I want to see if you have a way to determine whether this problem is in the switch, the motherboard, the CPU, ...
Any advise is highly welcome.

So I tried the PSU and the new PSU, thats not it.
I removed the switch and shortened the two pins for the on signal, thats not it.
I am contemplating to remove all attached devices (HD's, Disk) and see if this helps.
I am also thinking about removing the RAM one block at the time and see if this helps.
But what then? How would I get confirmation whether the CPU is fried or the motherboard is fried?
