Artifacts show and screen flickers at 75Hz on Omen 32

Omen 32
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I have an HP Omen 32 monitor. Everything works fine at 60Hz, but at 75Hz, the display's native refresh rate, strange artifacts appear. It is similar to a film grain, where there are white specks that flash against a dark image. This happens whether I set the refresh rate to 75Hz through Windows or through a game.

I'm using a Display Port cable in order to utilize FreeSync.

Hi@hamburglar,

Thanks for stopping by HP Support Forums.

I came across your post and would like to help.

Need assistance in fixing the display refresh rate error? Is that, correct?

I believe the issue might be with the PC and not the monitor as the Omen monitor you have is a 4k monitor.

I recommend you to check if the PC video card is capable of supporting the 75 refresh rate.

Also, if the PC is an HP PC, please share the PC model number details for further assistance.

Hope the solution answers your query. Feel free to reply back for more.
