Product: Pavillion 500-524nl
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Last sunday we have started suggested bios update but after pc tries to recover bios in infinite loop. Sometimes it make 8 beeps on startup.

I understand that you are facing issues with your HP Pavilion Desktop - 500-524nl wherein the unit tries to recover BIOS in an infinite loop.

 

This issue could occur if the BIOS is corrupted.

 

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

 

You need to first power reset your laptop​ and then perform a BIOS recovery.

Things already tried, in fact now system clock is 2011 as I see in the date of 2 files.

After the process, pc restarts itself, 8 beeps, little blue window, hp logo, hp page of bios recovery, hp page of bios verify, the restart again and does the same...

 


Return the files that the pc wrote in the usb keys:

I think I understand what happened.

Last Sunday the automatic update installed the Bios A008 version.

This version is not stable (I think) and after being downloadable for some days it was retired by HP and it is no longer available for download ... but I have it on my usb key ... I downloaded it on Sunday to find a solution...

 

Now, if I boot the pc with the key with A008 the pc works on the key but after the recovery doesn't work as my first message.

If I start the pc with other keys with versions A007 or earlier, the pc does nothing on the key. Maybe the MB does not accept a downgrade.

Please help me !!!

How can i bring back a firmware firmware? Is there a factory bios reset (example to 2014)?
