AverMedia TV Player EPG set up

New Envy 23 All in one PC with TV Tuner and Windows 8.  How is the Electronic Programming Guide set up for AverMedia TV Player v 1.8.1 (driver v 10.2.64.70).  we have set up TV tuner with external Antenna, recognized digital channels but can't get electronic programming guide to show the network tv programming schedule times and shows to see what is currently playing on each channel currently or coming up to to be able to schedule recording - have to click through all channels to see what's playing right now with no visibility to future programming schedule.

Re: AverMedia TV Player EPG set up

Actually, the response doesn't address the problem at all, which is how do you set up an EPG file to import into the Avermedia software. The software that accompanies the TV tuner is so lame that I would think that HP would be embarrassed to bundle it with HP hardware. A number of years ago I purchased an HP Media Center PC that came with a Hauppauge TV card and it worked perfectly out of the box. The current TV tuner is a big steup down from that but any advice anyone could offer on how to get the new system up to speed would be appreciated.
