B2600 FX5 Garbled Text slot 3

I have a B2600 with an FX5 graphics card in slot 3.  I installed HPUX 10.2.

The text output is garbled in the blue areas of the welcome screen.  I have swapped both the I/O cage and FX5 graphics card and still have garbled text in the blue areas.  If I move the FX5 card to another slot (slot 4) the text output is normal.  Does this mean there is an issue with the system board?  Is there a fix for this?

Re: B2600 FX5 Garbled Text slot 3

The PCI card cage only contains the slots.  Its the motherboard that contains the PCI bridge and I/O controllers.  Likely its the local bus adapter for that particular slot that is causing the issues.

However, slot 4 is just as capable as slot 3, so if you are not using the slot 4, just move the card over.
