BIOHD-8 Please help

I have an HP Pavilion s5150t.  The unit would not power up, so I tested the power supply.  Everything checked on the 24pin and 4pin, but the SATA cables did not deliver enough power.  I hooked up a known good drive to the SATA cables and heard nothing but clicking.  So, I replaced the power supply.

My machine starts, but it can't find the HD.  I ran diagnostics and got BIOHD-8.  I've removed the drive and placed it in an external case. Using a USB, I've plugged it in to another computer and all of the data is there.

Do I have a bad motherboard?  I'd like to get this resolved ASAP because I want to get my machine back up to record the Olympics.  Thank you.
