BIOS Upgrade for Pavilion 569

Pavilion 500-569
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I downloaded the new BIOS from the HP support page for the 569, it's BIOS A0.07 Rev A from 2016-10-06.

I currently have BIOS ver 80.06 from 2015-04-01.  I tried to install from the UEFI BIOS firmware upgrade menu and it says "BIOS image did not pass validation".  I also tried to install from within Windows 10 and the option to upgrade is greyed out and below its says BIOS is not compatitble with my system.

Should this BIOS upgrade be on the 569 support page?

What was the original OS?   8.1 or 10.

I think I see what you're getting at Dean,

I looked in the Windows 8.1 section of the downloads for the 569 and there are two different BIOS types: ROM Family SSID 2B2C with just the 80.06 Rev A and  ROM Family SSID 2B35 with three different versions for that one (80.02, 80.06, A0.07).  Perhaps I have the ROM Family SSID 2B2C version with just the 80.06 version?

The NRAM detects the version of BIOS, linked to WIN 8.1, thus upgrading to WIN 10 has locked the BIOS.

BIOS Upgrade for Pavilion 569

Well, perhaps HP sensed my post... they released a BIOS update today (or posted it) for my mobo sys ID 2B2C running Windows 10 64bit!  Its BIOS ver A0.10 Rev.A.

I installed it and it seems to be fine, hopefully this will help with some of the issues I've been having with the latest Win 10 updates...

Cheers
