Best Nvidia Graphics Card for HP Pavilion?

Hi I currently have an new (6 months) Pavilion desktop.  I am currently taking a class for Maya 3D Modeling. I am having issues with the software and I have narrowed it down to the graphics card.  Maya (autodesk)  recommends a Nvidia Graphics card and I am trying to figure out which would work best with my pc.

System:

HP Pavillion p7-1010

AMD Athlon IIx4 645 processor 3.10 GHz

6.00 GB Ram

64 bit sys

Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

Hi,

Look over these NVIDIA Quadro professional line of video cards.  The High to Ultra models will most likey require a power supply replacement.

There are other good NVIDIA video cards in the consumer line that might also do the job.   Even then you still may need to replace the power supply since the power supply in your PC by default is only 250 watts.

Check the video card requirements here.
