Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have an OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-101ne. I read that you performed a BIOS update and since then the PC is shutting down and will not boot to Windows. Not to worry, I'll do my best to help you.

To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Were you facing any issues with the PC before the BIOS update? Or did you simply perform the update because there was prompt on the screen?
  • Is the PC shutting down after booting into Windows or even before it boots to Windows?

I did some research and found that the correct BIOS update for this PC is Version: F.24 Rev.A

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Let the PC be powered off.
  • Disconnect all cables and devices from the PC. Also, disconnect the power cable.
  • Press and hold the power button of the PC for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable, mouse, keyboard and the monitor only.
  • Power on the PC.

If the issue persists then I suggest you to perform a BIOS rollback using the steps from this link.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know how it goes. All the best! 🙂
