Black Screen
08-24-2016 07:12 PM

My computer seems to start up but all I have been getting is a black screen. I have tried many different variations listed in various forums (of which there are many so lots of people have this problem) to solve this issue but I have not had success with any of them.
I have now just tried resetting the bios by removing the battery and replacing it. Now I get a series of 5 beeps when I try to start up the computer. My understanding is that this means the bios has been successfully reset. However the computer does not get passed this point.
I have read on a few forums that it the issue is thought to be the motherboard. I have also read a few posts where people have replaced the motherboard only to have the new one crash with the same issue.
Any help would be appreciated.
