CD/DVD Rom, not working in Windows 10 Home - 64 bit , hardware present.

HP 23-d116a

Driver Provider: Microsoft

Driver Date: 21/06/2006

Driver Version: 10.0.14393.0

CD rom present, will not play or burn dc/dvd.

Have tried regedit, BIOS, driver update, reinstall but still not working.

Any solutions - would appreciate.

Apart from the above step, considering you've pretty much done it all (And that's quite impressive),

The only other step is to perform a hardware test using the hardware diagnostic tool: Click here for details.

Wisdom is something we all desire, and hindsight is better than forthought.  That said.

Download this simple program to burn media.  It's called CDBurnerXP.
