CPU upgrade for HP Compaq elite 8300 convertible minitower

Can I upgrade my HP Compaq elite 8300 convertible minitower CPU from a core i5 3570(the one im using now) to a core i7 3770 ? both have the same socket, LGA 1155.

On page 5 (configurable components) it says core i7 3770 with an X on SFF/CMT. Does this mean I can upgrade to the i7 3770 ? Just making sure.

I purchased my 8300 CMT with the I7 processor in it so I can't imagine how you would have any issues upgrading to this processor.  I am actually looking to see what other processors can work in it (ie Xeon 6 core).  It may be that the i7 is the highest supported.  I am using this for streaming live video.

Thanks for the info. I want more threads to accodomate for my multitasking and rendering video.
