Can I add an HDMI monitor to my Pavilion 23 b240xt that has only USB ports?

Welcome to HP Support Forum. Since your machine does not have HDMI out port, please use an adapter to convert USB to HDMI, for example:

 

     https://www.jaycar.com.au/usb-3-0-converter-to-hdmi-1080p/p/XC4973

 

  (You can buy a similar and cheaper from your local stores. Just ask for USB to HDMI).
