Can i upgrade my HP Pavilion 500-459na GPU

HP Pavilion 500-459na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

i want to upgrade my Hp pavilion GPU which has the AMD R7 2gb which just isn't powerful enough for me now i am looking to upgrade with  MSI AMD R9 380 Gaming Graphics Card (4 GB, PCI-E 3.0, GDDR5, 256 Bit, DVI-I, HDMI) . i am just wondering if i can upgrade it with this and that my mother board  would be also able to handle, I already know i will need a better power supply to make it run but will there be anything else i would need to buy to run and not have any problems.

Thanks in Advance for the replies.

@ Chappers2016 Thanks for writing to us !

Although the product specification tells me that it's does support a greater capacity graphics card as you mentioned  you will require a higher capacity power supply.

If your PC is still under warranty I request you to go through our factory warranty policies by using this link http://hp.care/2boJDLT before making any upgrades on your PC

Let me know if this helps!

The basic warranty covers the original hardware. Adding a new PSU and GPU does not void the original hardware.  You will need a 400W minimum PSU.   The webpage on your product is mis-information, as it does state an 180W external brick. According to our sources, it is internal.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
