Can the computer support a larger hd and more memory HP Pavillion A6152n

I have the above computer and definitely need more hard drive space and memory.

Can the HP pavillion a6152n be upgraded to a hard drive than the 400gb that is installed and can more memory be installed than the 4gb that comes with it??

Thanks for the help.

Re: Can the computer support a larger hd and more memory HP Pavillion A6152n

No issue with 400GB to 1.5TB drive.  If the OS is 32-bit, then board will not see more than 3.2GB of RAM.  It's a waste of $ to add more than 4GB of RAM, even with Vista.  Unless you're doing something real stupid, 4GB is more than adequate for most users.  Run Task Manager in the background and run your most demanding applications.  At the end of the day, if the Peak Commit Charge is less than 3.5GB, then you will not benefit by adding more RAM.

Too much RAM delays boot time and increases load on the PSU.  The case temp will also increase.  Finally, the CPU must devote a little more clock time to manage the additional memory.  PC vendors like to sucker-in noobs by touting 6-8GB of on-board memory.
