Computer on start up says that the cpu fan is not working.

I opened it up, it spins manually when touched, but then stops.  The power is pushed in all the way.  What fan goes to a Pavillion p6280t? Thanks

Change that, fan works.  I tested it on husband computer.  Does a hp pavillion p6280t have other fan power source locations?  If not, what do I do.

According to this page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01324212

Two 12v fan connectors for CPU fan and PC fan.  Just to see if the port on the motherboard is bad, try plugging the CPU fan into the case fan connector, if possible.
