DVD drive not found in Windows 8 consumer preview (compaq presario sr5448f)

Hello I recently upgraded from Vista to the new Windows 8 consumer preview and now I can't play CDs/DVDs anymore.  Usually when I played DVDs it would show up in the computer folder, but now all I see is Compaq (CSmiley Happy and Factory_IMAGE (DSmiley Happy.   I looked in device manager but couldn't find a tab that said cd/dvd.  I tried the microsoft and compaq websites but there doesn't seem to be any support for this problem anywhere.

Re: DVD drive not found in Windows 8 consumer preview (compaq presario sr5448f)

Hi:

I wonder if you have to install the chipset driver...

If that doesn't get it, then I don't know what the issue could be.
