Desktop PC shuts down intermittantly and CPU and PSU fans spin full blast on shutdown

Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have an ongoing problem that my desktop PC shuts down intermittantly and CPU and PSU fans spin full blast on shutdown after Windows 7 has finished shutting down and the black screen is showing on the monitor. The only was to completely shut it down is to do a forced shut down by holding in the power button for a few seconds.

I bought the PC as a refurbished item and the Base Wty: HP HW Wty: Maintenance Onsite Support and Wty: HP Support for

Initial Setup have both expired on this PC.

I have tried various things to fix this issue in case the issue is to do with the PC overheating:-

Reseting CMOS

Changing CMOS battery

Replacing thermal compond on CPU

installing a case fan on CPU

Updating BIOS

Lowering thermal setting in BIOS

Replacing the PSU

Reinstalling Windows 7 Pro

Checking PC for Virus's and malware

Please can you advise on how I can resolve this issue?

Thanks,

Kevin
