Disable To Lockscreen On Windows 8

Hi,

 

Try this, works for sure.

 

1. Copy this registry key in a notepad file.
 
Registry Key
 
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization]
"NoLockScreen"=dword:1
 
 
2. Save the file on the desktop with ' .reg ' extension.
 
 
3. Run the file >> allow the file to get added to the registry.
 
 
This disables the lock screen on windows 8 pc and allows the pc to boot to the logon screen.

Hi,

 

Good tip! However, editing the registry can be dangerous.  Is this the process that you are using?

 

If you are using Windows 8 Pro then use the policy editor to disable the lock screen.

 

Always execute/create a Windows 8 restore point so that you have a backup in case something goes wrong.

The process you've shown is different..
In this method you just have to copy the above registry key, paste in in a notepad save it..and then add the registry by opening the saved file..
Very easy and simple..
