HP L2245w
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have had a HPL2245w monitor for a number of years. Now the display has faint/transparent horizontal lines, continously scrolling on my display. They are visible on a white background. On dark/black background they are not noticeable.  I recently changed the pc to on-board graphics. I checked the monitor drivers and it says they are updated. I checked resolution and refresh rates and they are those required by the monitor. I tried to change the power cable, and also to move it to a different power source. I also restored the monitor to factory settings. But those faint scrolling lines are still there.  I'd like to know if this could be a sign that the monitor is "breaking", or whether there are solutions to this. Or could it be that I've downgraded from a dedicated graphics card to on-board graphics? Thanks a lot for your help!
