I bought a new all-in-one ENVY 23 and when Im on for an hour or more the sound stops completely.
Any feedback would be really helpful and as its new it is still under warrenty.
- I've run windows problem solver thing and it said it couldn't find a problem.
- my partner thinks a larger fan would prevent this, but i think that'd void the warrenty.

Your sound will stop working after an hour.
It could be that it is getting too hot.
Do a hard reset.
Turn the computer off.
Remove the power cable.
Hold down the power button for 15 sec.
This should reset the hardware in the computer.
As you turn it back on tap the F10 key. This will load BIOS setup utility.
Press F9 to load defaults.
Press F10 to save and exit.
When the computer boots back up, check to see if everything is working.
If that does not help, go to HP.com and update the BIOS.
Here is a link to the update; you'll need your product number.
Let me know how everything goes.
Have a good day.

Might not hurt to check the drivers: restore the audio driver using HP Recovery Manager or Get the latest driver updates from the Support Website.
Please post rather than send me a message. It's good for the community and I might not be able to get back quickly. - Thank you.
