Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have several ProDesk 600 G3 Small Form Factor desktops that, when a DisplayPort Adapter is plugged into them, they immediately begin beeping in a pattern that indicates 4.2, a "processor over temperature condition" and, after a power off, I get a POST Error that states,

"System Temperature

90D-System Temperature

The System BIOS has dettected your machine was previously shut down to avoid overheating.

Overheating may occur if the cooling vents are blocked or the operating temperature exceeds the system specifications.

The machine should return to normal operation once the situation is resolved."

Any ideas as to what it might be about the DisplayPort adapter that would cause an immediate overheat?
