HP TouchSmart 600-1220ru
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello!

Broken video card GT 230 Touchsmart. Please tell me the options for replacing this graphics card for AIO PC HP TouchSmart 600-1220ru. Couldn't find this card. Problem: does not turn off the computer through the operating system menu only if you press and hold the button to turn it off.

Hi @Bagda,

Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. I understand you are having issues with the graphics card on your HP Touchsmart computer. Don't worry I'll try my best to help you with this,

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

What exactly is the issue with the graphics card?

Have you tried to update the drivers?

Did you try to run a test on the card?

In the meantime, let's start off by performing a Hard reset on the PC with all the cables disconnected.

Next thing, I would suggest is to check if the graphics card is detected in the Device manager if it's listed let's try to uninstall it and then restart the PC. so that it will look for the drivers automatically and then install the drivers.

You could also try to run the test on the graphics card from F2 (Please capture the failure ID for further assistance).

Depending on the test results, if the test passes, I would suggest you could try to update the Bios, Chipset drivers as well as graphics card drivers from our HP support website.

If the test fails, You will need to get the graphics card replaced, this can be done either using the HP Part store Or call the HP Phone support for a repair service.

Let me know if those steps worked for you.

If they did, that’s awesome!

Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

That’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!

Good Luck.
