HDMI input not working on Envy27

Envy27
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have a HP Envy 27 desktop, trying to connect my PS3 via the HDMI input, plug the console in, screen does not switch automatically nor does it when the HDMI input button is pressed on bottom of display.  I have checked my HDMI cord on other devices uses my TV , as well as have had PS3 hooked via HDMI to my TV, works fine there, just not on my desktop?

HDMI input not working on Envy27

@Bfaria866

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out :)

As I understand the HDMI port doesn't work on your desktop,

Although, it works fine on the PS3 & the TV, here are a few steps that should help,

Use the windows button and type 'hp my display'

Then, use your HDMI button as it should work, now.

To make this permanent on reboot,
Go to the options tab in the hp my display UI and check off 'run as system start-up'.

Let me know if those steps worked for you.  If they did, that’s awesome!  Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons, that’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!
Good Luck.
