I have had my computer for almost a year. Recently the touch screen has stop working. When I look at the about section has described in support it says "No pen or touch input available for this display". However, that doesn't seem right since Touch is in the product description lol. How can I restore the Touch input for my computer?

Welcome to HP Forums @LaHearts,

Thanks for the post.

I understand that the touchscreen on your computer is not working.

Not to worry, I will be glad to help.

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?

Please run HP Support Assistant to make sure all the drivers are updated on your computer. Click here

Once all the drivers are updated, please restart your computer and check if the touchscreen is working or not.

If the issue persists, please shut down the computer.

Wait for a minute.

Turn the computer On and keep tapping F11 repeatedly on startup.

This should boot the computer to the Recovery manager.

Please check if the touchscreen is working in recovery manager or not.

If the touchscreen is not working in recovery manager. Please contact our phone support for the service options available for your computer.

Please follow the procedure mentioned below to contact our phone support.

  • Enter Product number or select to auto detects
  • Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
  • Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get phone number.

If the touchscreen is working in recovery manager.

Restart your computer and try the steps suggested under "Screen does not respond to touch, or responds intermittently" section of this HP Article

Let me know if this helped.
