Hey @Lucy0167,

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are looking to connect an external display to your All-in-one computer.

Don't worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Have you checked the specifications of your computer?

Does your computer have a display out port? (VGA/HDMI?Displayport.)

Does the USB to VGA adapter require any drivers?

Have you checked with USB to VGA adapter manufacturer?

For me to be able to assist you better, I would require the requested information.

Please refer to this article for assistance in connecting any external display. (Article if meant for Desktop but the procedure is the same of All-in-one computers.)

Please open device manager and check for any unknown devices.

If you find any unknown devices listed with the monitor connected and powered on.

Right-click on the unknown device and check for driver updates.

Keep me posted.

If the information I've provided was helpful,

Please give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accepted Solution" and "Kudos" buttons,

That’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!

Good Luck.
