HP 800 EliteDesk g1 TWR front USB unplugging

Good afternoon!

I've had to unplug front USB connectors because of a large video card.

Now every time I'm starting the PC it informs me that Front USB ports are disconnected ans asks to press F1 to continue.

How to turn off this notification? I didn't find anything helpfull in BIOS.

If there is no such feature in BIOS, can I use jumpers or something to make it think that front USbs are connected?

Thank you in advance!

Acinonyx, welcome to the forum.

I asked another Expert member, Paul Tikkanen, who is more familiar with your computer what you should try.  Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the computer.  Go to Section 8, Page 192, and try Enabling the Bypass F1 prompt.  If this doesn't work, you will simply have to live with the situation.

Good morning!

Unfortunately this option has been already enabled.

I've also turned off these USBs in BIOS. Stopped POST messages, disabled all notifications - nothing helped.

921-Front USB 1 not connected error still persists.

Actualy I didn't understand what does it mean "simply leave with this situation"?

This malfuction prevent to use this PC remotely. It won't start after power loss, it would be impossible to wake this PC on lan.

I think its a oversight of HP engineers and this bug should be fixed in next BIOS revision.

We've bought about 40 computers, advised by HP manager as best solution for us, should we ship it back?
