HP Compaq 6300 Microtower, will not power up

I have a newer HP Compaq Pro 6300.   After a shutdown, the power switch does nothing.  If I remove the Power Cord and  CMOS Battery, then reinstall the battery and power cord the system boots up and runs good. If I then shutdown again, it will not power on until I perform the above process.

Not sure if it is just the power switch or something else.

Anyone else have this problem
