I've been using a HP Compaq 8300 USDT with a 64GB mSata drive in for a few weeks now without issues (Sata2). But i've just recently installed a second hard drive connected to the on-board Sata Ports (Sata0).

Now every time i boot the the machine i get prompted with the following error.

"No bootable device"

"Insert a boot disk and press any key"

I've noticed that within the bios after each reboot (or normal Power On) under the 'Boot Order' it's listing Sata0 as the first Hard Drive boot device. Even if i change the 'Boot Order' to list Sata2 as the first device, and saves these settings it proceeds to change the setting back by itself.

Is there a way to make the boot order stay with Sata2 as the first boot hard drive.

Any Assistance would be greatful

System is running Bios Version 2.90

Hi, did you find a solution?

I am also considering using a msata as a primary drive.

Thanks
