HP Diag program, pcdr5cuiw32.exe, fails to run.

I have a an HP model a6528p desktop running vista home premium sp2 that has been kept up to date.

The Hp support info is:

Model #: a6528p,Product #: FJ463AA-ABA,Serial #: 3CR8240FXG,Software Build #: 83NAv3PrA2
Service ID #: 082-008,PCBRAND: Pavilion

I have been having lockup and freezes on the system. I tried to run the HP  hardware diagnostic tools program , pcdr5cuiw32.exe, I get a message that says:

Hardware Diagnostic Tools was unable to complete hardware detection. Do you want to retry?

retrying does not help.

How do I get the hardware diagnosted?

Hello Charles_harward,

I understand your hardware diagnostic tool software will not run, is that correct? I will try to help you with this issue.

Try running this tools update to it and see if that helps any.
